This installation explores the tension between perceived safety and the reality of violence that women experience daily in patriarchal societies. A mobile of floating knives, symbols of physical harm, appearing almost playful through its colours and materials.

The work uses pink fabric, yarn, and faux fur, materials culturally tied to care, innocence, and harmony. These “soft” associations are deliberately disrupted, turning the language of cuteness into a space of unease and resistance.

Here, the promise of protection is revealed as a fragile illusion - one that never truly existed.
